GEORGE TRIBBLE, (of #2) ca. 1700 King and Queen Co. Va., eldest son
of Peter Tribble. While Peter Tribble named his eldest son George, we
assume the George of this sketch is that son, when we know there were
two of the name who served in the Revolution. The George Tribble of this
sketch served in the Revolution from Essex Co. Va. d. 1792 Caroline Co.

JOHN TRIBBLE, (of #2) ca. 1704 Essex or King and Queen Co. Va. He
was of age when his father executed his will 6 Apr. 1738, one of the
Executors. His eldest bro. George was named in his father's will how-
ever he was not named an Ex. indicating that he had settled elsewhere.
He died in Essex Co. Va. intestate, 1749. On 20 June 1749 bond for adm.

orphans, Peter and John Hill Tribble. Paid John Pyles for schooling of
children, alloted to John Hill Tribble and to Peter Tribble, recorded
19 Sep. 1749. Since the children were called orphans and the estate was
divided into three pts. it is obvious the mother was deceased and that
Esther, wife of John Dean, was a dtr. ref. Essex Co. Va. will bk. 6 p.

GEORGE TRIBBLE, (of #3) b. 1757 Caroline Co. Va. We assume he is
of this family since he stated he was born in Caroline Co., however no
documentary proof. He was living in Spots. Co. Va. 3 Sep. 1832 when he
applied for a pension for service in Revolution. He enlisted and served
seven tours in the Va. Militia, 1st under Capt. Vivion Minor of Caroline
Co. He was married twice, md. Nancy, a widow Bell, probably a large fam-

Tribble, with John Mann and William Hawerton his securities, gave bond
as adm. of the estate of Peter Tribble, deceased. This Peter Tribble
could have been a bro. or his son. On 21 Sep. 8 1812 John Tribble, with
Philip Mann and Richard Covington his securities, gave bond as adm. of
the estate of Elizabeth Tribble deceased. and the same date John Tribble
of Essex Co. and Philip Mann securities for Richard Covington adm. of

the fall of 1781 to Kings Mountain, afterward he was called out against
